Relationship and Trust
Can partners have seperate Social Lives?
This topic came about during a discussion a friend and I were having. Can a couple (married or dating) still maintain seperate social lives? I believe it is healthy for any relationship for each partner to maintain seperate social lives as long as he or she doesn’t cross the line into cheating. During our conversation, another issue was brought to the table. Is it okay for a partner to go out to the bar or nightclub without their other half? As long as you can be tusted not to cheat on your partner, then what is the issue. Sometimes when two people enter into a relationship, one of them automattically doesn’t trust the other. This is due to how bad they were hurt in the past.
As I tell my partners, if yoiu want to go out to have fun, and I don’t, GO OUT without me. I am sorry, however, if my partner doesn’t trust me enough to go out, by myself or with friends, without him, then why should I be in a relationship with him?
